Kacey Musgraves had quite a night at the 2014 CMA Awards on Wednesday in Nashville!

After taking home the award for Song of the Year for “Follow Your Arrow,” the breakout country artist took the stage to perform Loretta Lynn’s 1971 classic, “You’re Looking at Country,” and fans found out exactly why she was rocking such big hair!

Midway through the performance Kacey was joined by Lorretta on stage, who finished out the song with the 26-year-old.

Before the show, Access Hollywood’s Liz Hernandez chatted with Kacey about her bountiful CMAs coif.

“I’m a Texas girl. So, of course I have to go with big hair!” she said. “I’m also paying homage with what I’m performing tonight.”
