Kate Beckinsale Back For ‘Underworld 5’

The war between vampires and Lycans will rage on in a fifth installment of the “Underworld” franchise.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kate Beckinsale will return as vampire Selene along with “Divergent” star Theo James, who played David in the fourth film in the franchise.

The latest movie will focus on “a new and younger generation of vampires and werewolves who are locked in a seemingly never-ending battle between supernatural races,” according to THR.

The franchise will get its first woman director, Anna Foerster, who previously served as director of photography on”White House Down” and directed multiple episodes of “Outlander.”

The film will reportedly start shooting in Prague in October.

“Underworld” hit theaters in 2003, followed by “Underworld: Evolution” in 2006, “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans” in 2009 and “Underworld: Awakening” in 2012.
