Kate Middleton Vows To Help Homeless By Sleeping On London Streets (Report)

The princess is reportedly going to rough it!

According to Britain’s The Mirror, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, will join British actress/activist Lisa Maxwell on the streets of London for a night in a “Sleep Out” public awareness campaign about the plight of homeless individuals.

“She asked me about sleeping out, so I said: ‘Next time I do it, you’re doing it with me. No excuses,” Lisa told the paper. “She said: ‘You’re on.’”

Kate, 30, reportedly pointed out that husband Prince William has pledged his support to the same cause with the Centrepoint charity, which helps homeless youth.

Lisa told the paper that William first introduced her to Kate at the Centrepoint reception and that she found the Duchess “very savvy and very smart.”

The 30-year-old first joined Prince William last year on a charity trip to the organization, which he is a patron of like his late mother, Princess Diana.

A St. James’s Palace spokesperson issued a statement to the paper following the couple’s visit to Centrepoint, saying, “Prince William took away from the experience the importance of tackling all the issues that cause people to be homeless and stay homeless, from drug dependency to mental health problems.”
