Kate Upton and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are both back on the market.
The easy-on-the-eyes pair has split, according to E!.
A friend of the former couple told the network that “it was never really that serious” between the cover model and the “Dancing with the Stars” pro, and that their relationship was “more like friends-with-benefits than anything else.”
“Things actually fizzled out between them in September,” the insider continued.“Maks moved to LA for his acting career and Kate relocated to NYC. After that, they actually didn’t see very much of each other. There’s no hard feelings, I’m sure they’ll remain friendly.”
Rumors of a romance between Maks, 33, and Kate, 21, first began circulating back in June, when they were spotted having dinner together in New York City.
Maks was previously engaged to “DWTS” pro Karina Smirnoff, but they ended their relationship September 2009. He later dated “Dancing” pro Peta Murgatroyd, but the pair called it quits in February.
