Kate Winslet Believes Rose Let Jack ‘Freeze To Death’ In ‘Titanic’

Kate Winslet
is finally admitting what “Titanic” fans have argued for years.

In an appearance on Monday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” the Oscar winner – and current nominee – addressed the long-standing notion that her character from the 1997 blockbuster let Leonardo DiCaprio’s leading man “freeze to death” for no reason.

“I agree!” Kate said, when host Jimmy Kimmel called out the scene in question. “I think he could have actually fitted on that bit of door.”

Kate and Leo reunited most recently at Saturday’s
SAG Awards, where the “Steve Jobs” star was spotted giving her longtime
pal a congratulatory hug after his first-ever win.

The now-viral moment delighted “Titanic”
fans, which Kate said was a pleasure to behold after all this time.

“People are always so excited to see Leo and myself in
the same space, which at the end of the day, that’s so lovely,” she said.

The pair marvels over the legacy of “the Jack and Rose
thing” and “giggled about” it together over the weekend, Kate added.

“It’s been 20 years and people still get such a kick out
of it. It’s really quite endearing,” she told Jimmy.

Leo isn’t the only celebrity Kate was
spotted with at Saturday’s A-list fete.

When Jimmy presented a photograph of Kate getting
a bit personal with a fellow actress, the star was straightforward about
exactly what was taking place.

“I can tell you – I’m feeling Susan
Sarandon’s t**s,” she explained. “That’s what’s happening.
Shameless.”

Kate joked that Susan might not have been
her only target that night.

“I think I may have felt Kristen
Wiig’s butt as well,” she laughed.
