Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley are considering expanding their family, and the actress told Access Hollywood they are considering adoption.
”[Adoption is] sort of something we’re looking into doing in the future,” the “Grey’s Anatomy” star told Access at the Peter Alexander Boutique launch party Tuesday night in Los Angeles. “It’s definitely something I’m very passionate about, have always felt passionately about.”
Adoption is something Katherine grew up with and she said has always been a consideration.
“My sister is Korean. My mother adopted her, so she’s a huge important part of my life, and it’s just always been on my mind,” the 29-year-old said.
Katherine might be considering adopting, but it’s not something her and Josh will doing tomorrow. For now, they are still enjoying the bliss of their December 2007 marriage.
“I don’t know exactly what the process is and how to go about it… we haven’t quite gotten there yet,” she told Access. “We’re still sort of newlyweds!”
