NEW YORK CITY (October 13, 2006) — Katie Couric says she thinks about fifty thousand people have sent her suggestions on how she should sign off at the end of each night’s “CBS Evening News.”
Tongue-firmly-planted in cheek, she declared on “The Late Show With David Letterman” that her “favorite” is “Here, kitty, kitty kitty.”
Another one she pointed out, noting her departure from NBC’s “Today Show,” was “Thanks for watching. I’m Katie Couric, and I’m not just for breakfast anymore.”
