Did Katie Holmes hint at her impending split from Tom Cruise to ELLE?
In an interview with the magazine for their August issue (conducted roughly six weeks prior to the actress filing for divorce), Katie said she wanted to start focusing on herself and her career.
“[My husband] has been Tom Cruise for 30 years,” she told the mag of her now soon-to-be-ex. “I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that.”
The 33-year-old (who began dating Tom when she was 26), said she’s relishing life in her thirties.
“I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin. I feel sexier,” she said. “I think in my twenties — it’s like you’re trying too hard to figure everything out.”
Adding, “I’m starting to come into my own. It’s like a new phase.”
