Katie Holmes Talks Dreams Of Singing In A Movie & Her Addiction To Speed Scrabble

Katie Holmes has done a lot of things in her film career. She’s played Batman’s love interest, the daughter of the President, a sexy reporter and a major thief, but there’s one thing that the actress would still like to check off – singing on the big screen.

While promoting her upcoming romantic comedy, “The Romantics” alongside co-star Elijah Wood at the Sundance Film Festival, Katie admitted to Access Hollywood she’ d love to put her pipes on display.

“You should sing for a film,” Elijah told Katie during an interview with Access’ Tony Potts.

“That would be incredible,” she said. “It would be fun. And you, too.”

“I’d love to do that too,” Elijah said. “We should sing together.”

“Let’s do it,” Katie responded. “Elijah and I would like to make a musical.”

In the meantime, Katie has a host of non-singing projects in the works including comedy “The Extra Man” alongside Kevin Kline and Paul Dano, and horror film “Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark” with Guy Pearce.

But when she’s not working, Katie enjoys game night with husband Tom Cruise and pals such as Eva Longoria Parker, Victoria Beckham and David Beckham.

“Well, we like to play this version of Scrabble which is… it’s like a fast version of Scrabble,” she revealed.

“Wait, you play like, Speed Scrabble?” Elijah asked.

“It’s pretty stressful,” she said. “It’s intense but it’s addictive.”
