Katy Perry & ‘Glee’s’ Darren Criss Unite For ‘Teenage Dream’

“Glee’s” Darren Criss had a dream come true on Sunday when Katy Perry joined him to perform her hit, “Teenage Dream.”

Katy and Darren came together at the Trevor LIVE benefit in Los Angeles on Sunday benefiting The Trevor Project, the nation’s only gay & lesbian suicide prevention hotline. See the performance, HERE!

Access Hollywood caught with Darren before his musical moment with Katy, where he spoke passionately about his “Glee” character, Blaine.

“It’s high time for a character like Blaine on network television,” Darren said. “It’s really a wonderful thing that young people have someone to look to, who may not be able to identify with [Chris Colfer’s character] or other out teens on television, if there are any other out teens on television?

“It’s a real privilege for me, as far as just being able to speak directly to the things that I believe in, I’m very proud to be here,” he added.

“Glee” fans can expect to see more of Darren live soon – he’s hitting the road with the rest of the gang from the hit FOX series when they tour Europe in summer 2011.

“I am, I think so, I’m pretty sure I am,” Darren said when asked about the tour.
