Following Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s split, rumors swirled that Katy Perry and the “Twilight” leading man were getting more than friendly – but Katy blames the romance speculation on her assets.
The singer opened up to ELLE UK in their September issue about how she reached out to Kristen to make sure she understood that she wasn’t breaking girl code.
“I sent her a text message saying, ‘I know you’ve seen all this stuff, but you know I would never disrespect you. I’m not that person,’” the 28-year-old singer told the mag (via Metro).

”‘I’m just trying to be a friend to him, but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of t*ts,”’ Katy said, recalling the text she sent to Kristen.
Katy also spoke candidly about her up and down relationship with John Mayer, going into detail about their March 2013 split.

“He pulled away. That was a big hello for me,” she told the mag. “I realized I could lose the person I loved and I had to deal with some things, issues I think a lot of women have,’ she continued. “You can be strong in one aspect of your life but submissive in another. In relationships, it was hard for me to speak up and set boundaries. I think a lot of that was to do with the fear of loss.”
As for the relationship road ahead, Katy says she’s fine with an unconventional challenge.
Adding, “The men I have gone for are challenging, yes, but they’re also wildly intelligent and poetic… I’m not interested in taming anyone – I’m pretty wild myself.”
