Keira Knightley’s ‘Atonement’ Dress To Be Auctioned For Charity

The green dress that Keira Knightley wore in the Oscar-nominated “Atonement” is being auctioned off for charity—and you could add it to your wardrobe!

The Clothes Off Our Back Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that hosts charity auctions showcasing today’s hottest celebrity attire, is auctioning the dress, designed by Oscar-nominated costume designer Jacqueline Durran.

“Joe Wright [the director of ‘Atonement’] wanted something that would flow because Keira Knightley would have to move around in it,” said Durran. “We picked this specific shade of green for the backless dress, and Keira was involved in the process, so it really was a collaboration.”

At press time, the “Atonement” dress was going for $3,000 with eight bids so far.

Clothes Off Our Back was founded by several actors, philanthropists, and married couple Jane Kaczmarek of “Malcolm in the Middle” fame and Bradley Whitford from “The West Wing.”
