Kelly Clarkson & Faith Hill Set To Rock The NFL Kickoff Show

Kelly Clarkson and Faith Hill are among the artists slated to perform for this year’s NFL kickoff show, Billboard reports.

The two music superstars will each take the stage at Indianapolis’ Monument Park for the grand football fiesta on September 6.

Lucky locals can check out their live show for free, while the rest of the world can watch them do their thing on NBC’s “NFL Opening Kickoff 2007.”

NBC’s broadcast of the kickoff show leads into the season’s big opening game — a showdown between defending champion the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints at the RCA Dome.

Veteran rocker John Mellencamp will also help celebrate the occasion with his own performance at the RCA Dome, and the band Hinder will perform at a site yet to be announced.

The NFL kickoff show has drawn top musical talent in the past, including a Bon Jovi performance from NY’s Times Square in 2002 and an Aerosmith/Britney Spears double bill the following year in Washington, D.C.

Other acts to get in on the football action have included Mary J. Blige, Destiny’s Child and Elton John in 2004, Green Day, Santana and Kanye West in 2005, and Rascal Flatts and Diddy in 2006.

Access is getting in on the “Sunday Night Football” action this season — keep watching Access Hollywood for more details in the coming weeks!
