Clarkson announced on Instagram on Friday that 1-year-old daughter River is
getting a brother.
“In
other news, River’s gonna have a little baby brother :)#itsaboy We’re
so excited!” the singer captioned a shot of River on a slide looking
adorable.
The 33-year-old pop star announced she and husband Brandon Blackstock were expecting again during her concert in Los
Angeles in August.

“I was not planning on announcing this, but … I’m
totally pregnant. I’m having a really hard time,” she said while singing
“Piece By Piece.” “I’m gonna nail the sh*t out of this song.
That was not how I wanted to announce that … I hate this song right now,”
she said at the time.
Brandon is also father to son
Seth and daughter Savannah from his previous marriage.
