Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Pitchy Strippers’ VMA Comment Sparks A Twitter Feud

Kelly Clarkson had some strong words after watching Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards and friends close to Miley Cyrus are snapping back!

After Sunday’s VMAs, which saw both Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus in various states of undress, the “American Idol” Tweeted, “Just saw a couple performances from the VMA’s last night. 2 words…. #pitchystrippers”

When called out by one of her followers who said her comment – which many believe is referring to Miley and Gaga – wasn’t nice, Kelly Tweeted, “haha that WAS me being nice!”

Miley’s friend and onetime assistant, Cheyne Thomas, took it to a personal level, tossing out his own set of insults directed towards Kelly.

“And she’s fat and 30,” he wrote, responding to someone alerting him to Kelly’s “pitchystrippers” Tweet.

Adding, “the reasons Kelly Clarkson is bitter could really go on for day.”

Cheyne then downplayed his comments, writing, “Not ‘starting a battle’ it’s not that serious.. Was just being a sarcastic a**hole as usual… I’m really not to be taken seriously.”

As for Miley, she appears to be loving the attention her headline-making performance is getting.

“Smilers! My VMA performance had 306.000 tweets per minute. That’s more than the blackout or Superbowl! #fact,” she wrote.

She continued with a series of reTweets praising her racy performance with Robin Thicke.

”‘Miley was the one star in the room who truly understood what the MTV Video Music Awards are all about!’ – Rolling Stone… ‘Miley stole the night, which is why the nation is still in recovery today. Thanks, Miley…’ – Rolling Stone,” she posted.
