Kelsea Ballerini had an extra special holiday!
The 23-year-old Grammy nominee got engaged to beau and fellow country artist Morgan Evans on Christmas morning, and took to Instagram to recall the story of his surprise proposal.
“He got down on one knee in the kitchen while I was burning pancakes and asked me to marry him,” Kelsea wrote, captioning a photo of her and Morgan embracing sweetly as she shows off her diamond sparkler with a big smile.

“Loving him has been the greatest gift of my life. And now I get to do it for life,” she added, including the hashtag “#HECALLEDDIBS” in her post as a reference to one of her hit songs.
The couple met while cohosting Australia’s Country Music Channel Awards back in March, which Kelsea teased on Instagram was “9 months and 13 days” before Morgan popped the question.

Kelsea continued sharing her enthusiasm on Twitter, calling herself “the luckiest girl in the world” while also giving fans an up-close look at the ring.

The “Yeah Boy” singer wasn’t alone in her excitement. Morgan paid tribute to his new fiancée in his own romantic Instagram post, too.
“When you know, you know … she’s perfect,” the 31-year-old wrote, adding the hashtag “#ultimatedibs.”
