Kevin Hart Gives Amy Schumer ‘SNL’ Hosting Advice: ‘Tell The Audience That You Know Me’

Kevin Hart has offered fellow comic Amy Schumer a few “Saturday Night Live” hosting tips — first and foremost, drop his name!

The Emmy winner makes her debut on the iconic sketch series this weekend, and shared Kevin’s words of wisdom to her Twitter followers on Saturday morning.

“Hostile text,” she joked, captioning a screenshot of Kevin’s hilariously unhelpful advice.

The “Ride Along” star turned his pep talk into a mini stand-up routine, using the opportunity to sarcastically remind his pal of his own comedic influence.

“Hey I know your [sic] hosting SNL tonight… If you get nervous during your monologue just tell the audience that you know me,” he suggested. “I promise it will help.”

Kevin told Amy that he’d like to be there for her during the show, but unfortunately his hectic schedule will keep him from being readily available.

“Or you can FaceTime me but I probably wouldn’t be able to pick up because I’m busy doing stuff. Just spit balling here… I’m trying to help,” he continued, before ultimately deciding that Amy might not need his assistance after all.

“You know what f*** it… you will be fine… I hope,” he wrote. “God bless…K Hart out.”

Amy clarified the exchange in a later Tweet, chiding those who apparently took the riff a little too seriously.

“Hey click bait,” she wrote. “Kevin’s text was funny. He was messing with me. We are friends. Boooo.”

The “Trainwreck” star also gave a shout-out to two other members of her cheering squad on Saturday — a special duo who may be a bit more likely to take her call.

“Excuse me Mom and Dad, I am hosting Saturday Night Live tonight,” she Tweeted, accompanying an adorable picture of herself as a wide-eyed toddler.
