Khloe Kardashian Quits PETA After Sister Kim’s Flour Bombing

Khloe Kardashian once stripped down in support of PETA, but after her sister, Kim Kardashian, was flour bombed last week, the reality star is done with the animal rights group.

“I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise. Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior,” Khloe wrote on her blog on Monday.

“I’ve been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me. As you all know, I don’t condone violence and bullying and what happened last Thursday was just that. I am absolutely disgusted by their behavior,” she continued.

Adding, “I will still continue to NOT wear fur, but I will no longer support PETA. Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won’t be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise.”

PETA released a statement about Khloe on Tuesday, saying, “We appreciate that Khloe will remain on the animals’ side by not wearing fur—that’s what counts. If one of our volunteers is responsible, it doesn’t alter the fact that no animal deserves to be electrocuted, shot, or poisoned for a bit of fur clothing. Khloe is just defending her sister, and we know she has a good heart, so we wish her well. We just wish she also had more influence on her sister.”

Following Kim’s incident last week, the group released a statement to Access Hollywood saying they were not involved.

“PETA has tried everything from polite letters to public protests, but Kim Kardashian has not been moved by the news that animals are beaten, electrocuted, and even skinned alive for real fur garments. Whoever threw that flour may reach her when our polite appeals did not,” PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange said in a statement to Access at the time.

Over the weekend, Kim said she is considering pressing charges against the woman who doused her.

“I said earlier no I wasn’t [going to file a complaint]. I am just going to think about it, because I don’t want someone to think they can really get away with that,” she told E!. “I think, ‘What if that was some other substance? What if that person had a dangerous weapon?’ It’s scary, and what’s even scarier is this woman acted as if she was a part of the press. She just came out of nowhere! And so we are definitely changing things up a little bit, amping up security, taking some measures.”
