Kid Rock Offers $5K Reward After burglary Attempt

Authorities are investigating an attempted burglary at Kid Rock’s Detroit-area home.

Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe says security cameras caught a man ramming a gate with a white van Wednesday afternoon on the Clarkston property, north of Detroit. The man then tried to break into the house, but failed to do so. McCabe said in a release the man was on crutches.

Kid Rock is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the man’s arrest.

A message posted on Kid Rock’s website warns the rocker is “an avid hunter and marksman and … will not hesitate to shoot anyone” who puts him and his family in danger.

Kid Rock’s music is a blend of hip-hop, hard rock, country and Southern rock. He was born Robert Ritchie.
