Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries Contemplated Having Kids

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries were only together 72 days before they split, but not long after their August wedding, the former reality TV couple considered bringing kids into their relationship.

On Sunday’s “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” the end of Kim’s cycle of birth control led the reality star to contemplate getting pregnant.

“Maybe it’s time to get off the pill,” Kim said to sister Kourtney on Sunday’s episode. “I just finished my birth control pack and I think it’s a sign. I’m 30, and I just got married.”

And when Kim proposed the idea to Kris, he was onboard.

“I feel like your life really starts when you have kids. It’s a whole new chapter. I feel like that’s something I’m really ready for,” Kim told the NBA player.

“This is a weird conversation… that I didn’t think I’d be having so soon,” he told Kim.

“Are you ready to have a baby?” she asked Kris, adding, “I’m 30 years old. I’m kind of ready.”

Without any protest, Kris appeared to be into Kim’s parenthood idea.

“OK. Let’s do it!” he said. “This is exciting. We can have our own little cuter version of Mason.”

Mom Kris Jenner had a different take on Kim’s motherhood plans.

“That’s a big decision… I think you’re so wrapped up in so many different things… It’s a little too soon,” she told her daughter on Sunday’s episode.

But when it came to where Kim and Kris might raise their future children, the tempers flared.

“I’m never moving to Minnesota. Ever,” Kim told Kris, after he suggested raising their kids in his native state. “How am I going to have my career and live in Minnesota? Don’t tell me that you want me to slow down, because I am not going to slow down.”

Kris, however, didn’t see Kim’s career lasting forever.

“By the time you have kids and they’re in school and all that, no one will probably care about you. Let’s be honest,” he told Kim.
Ultimately, Kim decided to stay on birth control, but had trouble deciding how to break the news to her then husband.

“I really don’t know how I’m going to tell Kris because I think it will hurt his feelings,” she said. “I just don’t want to start bringing kids into the mix right now.”
