Kirk Cameron Speaks Out Over Missing ‘Growing Pains’ Co-Star

As the search for former “Growing Pains” actor Andrew Koenig continues, his former co-star Kirk Cameron is speaking out about the missing actor.

“I am very concerned to hear of the disappearance of my old friend Andrew Koenig,” Cameron said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “Although I have not had contact with him for many years, I can remember many of the fun times we had on the set of ‘Growing Pains.’”

Cameron, who played Mike Seaver on the popular ‘80s series, while Koenig played his best friend Richard “Boner” Stabone, said he was hopeful authorities would find Koenig, who was last seen over a week ago and is believed to be in Vancouver.

“I am praying for his family during this time of distress and for his safe return,” Cameron’s statement continued. “Andrew, if you’re reading this, please call me. Mike and Boner could always work things out when they put their minds to it. I’m praying for you, pal. Hope to hear from you soon.”

Meanwhile, Vancouver Police have said they are tracking Koenig’s ATM card.

Constable Tim Fanning told Radar Online that the Canadian Police believe the actor, who hasn’t been seen since Feb. 14, is alive.

“Electronic information leads us to believe that Andrew is still in the Vancouver area,” the Constable said.

According to Fanning, authorities are also tracking his phone usage.

“We think Andrew is just lying low in Vancouver,” he said.

Over the weekend, Koenig’s parents, Walter (“Star Trek’s” original Pavel Chekov) and Judy Koenig, told TMZ that their son was “suffering from depression.”

“[He was] not doing good” at the time of his disappearance, they told the site, adding that they planned to fly to Vancouver in the coming days.

Over the weekend, Koenig’s parents said their son’s phone had been off. They last had contact with him on February 9.
