Kirstie Alley, Kendra, Original ‘Karate Kid’ Ralph Macchio & ‘Loveline’ Host Join ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 12 Cast

A wild talk show host, a grown-up ‘80s teen icon and an ex-Playboy Playmate are just a few of the folks who have joined the cast for Season 12 of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Brooke Burke and Tom Bergeron unveiled the cast of the new season of the celebrity reality competition, which includes Wendy Williams, original “Karate Kid” Ralph Macchio and Kendra Wilkinson.

Also in the cast this season are supermodel Petra Nemcova, boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, former Super Bowl champ from the Pittsburgh Steelers – Hines Ward, WWE star Chris Jericho and actress-turned-reality TV star Kirstie Alley.

Disney star Chelsea Kane, formerly of the show “Jonas” (with the JoBros), is on the cast as is Romeo (aka Lil Romeo), the son of former “DWTS” competitor Master P (he competed during Season 2).

A surprise choice for the show was “Loveline” radio host Mike Catherwood, who recently filled in for Regis Philbin on “Live! with Regis & Kelly.”

When asked by “DWTS” veteran, Cameron Mathison, how she plans to appeal to the viewers on the show, Kirstie said her goal was – at first – just to stay upright.

“I think we’re just here and trying not to fall on our butts the first week,” she laughed. “That’s what I’m going for.”

As for Ralph, when asked if his choreography experience from his “The Karate Kid” days would help him this season, the former “Ugly Betty” actor said he hoped so.

“I’m hopin’ it does,” he smiled. “I guess, I just have to point my toes this time.”

“Well, you’re on the right show for a ‘wax off,’ let me tell you,” Tom joked, quoting a line from “The Karate Kid.”

“Dancing with the Stars” returns on March 21.
