Following reports that Kristen Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director, Rupert Sanders, the actress has issued a public apology.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” the 22-year-old actress said in a statement to People.
“This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob,” Kristen continued.
The actress and the director were photographed together in a makeout session on July 17 in Los Angeles.
“I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry,” she said of her “The Twilight Saga” co-star.
Rob, 26, and Kristen were last seen together at Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego just two weeks ago.
Rupert – who is married to actress-model Liberty Ross, who he has two children with – also issued an apology on Wednesday.
“I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family,” the director said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”
