Kristen Stewart is addressing rumors about her sexuality, but the famously private star is still keeping the details to herself.
The actress opened up for Nylon’s September issue about how she handles fame in the digital age, especially in light of recent speculation about her alleged relationship with visual effects coordinator Alicia Cargile.
“It’s funny when older actors are like, ‘Just give them a smile.’ I’m like, ‘You have no idea what you’re talking about, but thanks!'” Kristen said of the constant public scrutiny she’s endured since her breakout role in “Twilight.”

“It must’ve been awesome without the Internet,” she added.
The 25-year-old dismissed the idea of labeling herself, inviting fans and other curious parties to draw their own conclusions about her personal life. Kristen explained that she supports the notion of gender fluidity, and doesn’t feel the need to attach a title to her dating choices.

“Google me, I’m not hiding,” Kristen said of the chatter. “I think in three or four years, there are going to be a whole lot more people who don’t think it’s necessary to figure out if you’re gay or straight. It’s like, just do your thing.”
While the “American Ultra” star supports anyone who relates to a specific group or social movement, she explained that her artistic instinct doesn’t translate well to categories.
“If you feel like you really want to define yourself, and you have the ability to articulate those parameters and that in itself defines you, then do it,” she said. “But I’m an actress, man. I live in the f****** ambiguity of this life and I love it.”
Kristen continued, telling the mag that being adaptable to multiple roles is a quality she strives to maintain on and off-camera.

“I don’t feel like it would be true for me to be like, ‘I’m coming out!'” she said. “No, I do a job.”
The former child actress said there are situations that call for devotion to a particular platform, and it’s something she’s open to exploring if the time is right. For now, though, she’s happy to just stick to the script – so to speak.
“Until I decide that I’m starting a foundation or that I have some perspective or opinion that other people should be receiving…I don’t,” Kristen said. “I’m just a kid making movies.”
Kristen’s newest film, “American Ultra,” opens on Aug. 21.
