Kristen Wiig To Host Saturday Night Live; Ben Affleck Also Set To Return

Just like Surprise Party Sue, we are “so FREAKIN’ EXCITED” over the following news: “Saturday Night Live” alum Kristen Wiig is returning to the hallowed 30 Rock stage – this time as host!

The “SNL” favorite will return on May 11 (along with musical guest Vampire Weekend), NBC announced on Friday.

“Hangover” star Zach Galifianakis will host on May 4, with musical guest Of Monsters and Men, while Ben Affleck will return to host the Season 38 finale on May 18, with musical guest Kanye West. (We think Kristen should stay in NYC for an extra week and shoot a new Target Lady sketch with Ben Affleck’s UPS delivery man/DJ “Sir Cumference.”)

Kristen’s “SNL” homecoming is sure to be sweet as the hilarious “Bridesmaids” star recently told Access Hollywood it was hard to find her footing after exiting the show last year.

“The show was seven years of my life and a six-day work week and you’re constantly with your friends all day, all night,” she told Access at CinemaCon in Las Vegas last week, when asked about life post-“SNL.”

“You sort of live and breathe the show,” she continued. “Then, when it’s over, you kind of feel a little lost… it was definitely an adjustment – even just the hours and [no longer] being in New York.”
