Kristin Cavallari is sharing her sorrow over the tragic loss
of her older brother, Michael.
The 28-year-old designer and former reality star took to
Instagram on Thursday following the sad news that authorities had discovered
Michael’s body nearly two weeks after he disappeared.
“My heart is in a million pieces,” Kristin wrote,
captioning a sweet baby photo of her and Michael. “Mikey, I could always
count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever
missed. I’m at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally
at peace. I love u so much.”

Kristin included a broken heart emoji with her difficult
message, to which fans immediately began responding with condolences.
As previously reported, Michael had been missing since Nov.
27 when his vehicle was found abandoned on a remote road off I-70 in Grand
County, Utah. He was believed to be en route to Illinois to visit Kristin, who
had given birth to her third child with husband Jay Cutler just days earlier.

Kristin confirmed in a statement to Access Hollywood on
Thursday that the search for Michael had come to a sad end.
“We want to thank
everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult
time. We have just been informed by the authorities my brother’s body has been
found,” the statement read. “This is a very painful time and we are
still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy
during our time of grieving.”
