Kristin Davis On ‘SATC’ Movie: ‘We Weren’t Prepared For The Intensity’

Life on the set of “Sex and The City: The Movie” has been “overwhelming,” according to actress Kristin Davis.

When filming began in New York last month, not only did the paparazzi turn out, but hundreds of fans also lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the ladies: Davis, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon. Davis, who plays Charlotte York-Goldblatt, said she and her fellow cast mates weren’t prepared for the excitement and attention the film has already drawn.

“Before we did the movie we thought, ‘Oh we’re ready, we can handle it, we had it before.’ But we were not prepared for the intensity,” Davis told OK! Magazine.

In a new interview, Davis also shot down rumors that there have been squabbles between cast mates. The main fights, she concedes, are happening between the actresses and their footwear.

“We’re good. We’re hanging in there,” she said. “We’ve had a lot of practice wearing heels for hours. It’s terrible to have very painful feet.”

Earlier this month, Chris Noth, who plays Parker’s on-screen love interest Mr. Big, told Access Hollywood that spoilers fans were reading, weren’t necessarily true.

As for Davis, she feels some of the overexposure could hurt fans’ “SATC” theater going experience.

“I hope it doesn’t ruin the actual movie,” she said. “I want people to go see the movie and not know what is actually going to happen. We don’t want to let our fans down. You don’t want to pay your ten dollars if you know exactly what’s going to happen. We’re like, ‘Ooh, wow, we’ve gotta get inside the studio.’”
