Lady Gaga Breaks iTunes Record; Invites 10-Year-Old To Join Her On Stage

Lady Gaga first conquered Twitter – nabbing more followers than anyone else – and now the singer has broken a record on iTunes.

The singer’s first single off her new album, “Born This Way,” has become the fastest-selling single ever on the popular music download service, selling more than one million downloads in just five days, Apple announced on Friday.

The hit song claimed the top spot in 23 countries on iTunes.

The song has also caught on with Gaga’s Little Monsters, who posted their own take of the song on YouTube. Internet sensation Maria Aragon is only 10, but she’s already caught the attention of the singer with her cover of the hit song. Gaga has asked Maria to join her on stage during an upcoming concert in Toronto to perform the song together.

Over the weekend, the singer performed at Boardwalk Hall Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey in true Gaga style, wearing a translucent dress and the top portion of a nun’s habit.

On Monday night, Gaga will record her “Monster’s Ball” tour for HBO at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The show will air on HBO later this year.
