Lady GaGa Heads To The Desert To Perform At White Party

She’s been burning up the Billboard charts with her hit singles “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” and now Lady GaGa is about to invade the desert as she headlines this year’s White Party in Palm Springs, Calif.

Lady GaGa will be the headline performer just after midnight on April 12 during the weekend’s main event, “White Party 20 – Legion of Superheroes.” Andy Bell of Erasure will be a special guest DJ at a spring break pool party earlier in the weekend.

This January in an interview for Access Hollywood and the Billy Bush Radio Show, Lady GaGa told Bush, “ “I love the gay community. Like bleeding heart love the gay community. . .it’s a genuine love I have for them.”

Planned annually on the second weekend of April, White Party Palm Springs, taking place April 10-13, has become a destination event for the gay community. Lady GaGa and Bell have significant gay fan bases and their appearances this year are highly anticipated.

Thousands of partygoers from around the globe are expected to gather poolside at the Wyndham Hotel as Bell spins his favorite songs from 4 to 5 PM on April 11. Bell will play classics from his band Erasure, plus the hottest electro artists and mixes from yesterday and today.

He has been flashing his skills at turntables around the world since his sold-out DJ tour to support his solo album, “Electric Blue” in 2005. He is currently recording his second solo effort in London for release later this year. Additionally, a four-disc boxed set of Erasure’s career-spanning work, “Total Pop! –Deluxe Box” will be released on April 7.

In addition to Lady GaGa and Bell, popular deejays from around the world will entertain the crowds throughout the weekend event. Manny Lehman, Tony Moran, Casey Alva, Ana Paul and The Perry Twins are among those that will spin their favorite tunes. Candis Cayne of ABC’s “Dirty Sexy Money” fame will be a special host on April 12 while Kat DeLuna will perform the same day at “Sunday T Dance: Under the Sea.” Jeffrey Sanker is producer of the White Party festivities.
