Lady Gaga: ‘Saturday Night Live’ ‘Asked Me To Host’

After bringing the music and the laughs on the season finale of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” Lady Gaga might have a gig as the show’s host in her future.

“They asked me to host and I would absolutely love to,” Lady Gaga told Access Hollywood at fan meet and greet for the release of her new album, “Born This Way,” in New York on Monday.

“I love ‘SNL.’ I love the cast. I went to theater school for a long time and I was so excited that they invited me to do those skits,” she continued. “Justin [Timberlake] is so cool and Andy [Samberg] is so great and I was laughing [so much]. I needed a diaper on set. I kept peeing my pants because I was laughing so hard, I mean, it’s painful how funny they are.”

Will Gaga and JT – who appeared in the “SNL” Digital Short “3-Way (The Golden Rule” with Samberg – collaborate again?

“Who knows in the future, you never know,” Mama Monster told Access. “We’ve done our first duet in the [‘SNL’ Digital Short] ‘3-Way.’”

As for dropping hew new album, the singer said she’s in awe of her fans and their support.

“The most amazing thing about the past few days has been all of the letters, all of the Tweets, all of the messages that I’ve received of how much they love the music and how they can’t stop dancing, and how they’re throwing parties,” she explained. “And how they said, ‘We did it!’ That’s my favorite when they say, ‘We did it!’… I don’t want to make music for people to worship me, I want fans to worship themselves, ‘Born This Way’ is about loving who you are.”
