Lance Bass Breaks Down ‘X Factor’s’ Final 3

Lance Bass travelled the globe and sold millions of records as a member of *NSYNC and on Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live, the pop star alum gave his expert analysis of tonight’s “The X Factor” final 3.

On Chris Rene: “He’s amazing… The way he’s grown from the first show until now is incredible and… it’s people with backstories that America definitely votes for.”

On Melanie Amaro: “Powerful singing and it’s perfect timing now that Beyonce’s taking a little vacation time, here’s another powerful singer to come step right into her place.”

On Josh Krajcik: “He’s amazing. Any time you choose a Beatles song, it just gets you extra brownie points in my eyes. But [just] amazing. Just listen to his voice — it’s so raspy, but so clear and perfect.”

When it comes to who will actually take the crown, Lance said it’s a woman’s world.

“It’s so hard to predict who the winner’s gonna be, just because America’s so fickle and every day, with a story in a paper, it can change everyone’s mind, but I think the frontrunner’s gonna be Melanie,” Lance, who served as Kit Hoover’s Access Hollywood Live guest co-host on Wednesday, said.

While our own Billy Bush has raved over Chris’ chances in recent days, Lance stood firm on his choice.

“Chris is great… I think Melanie really does speak to more people out there watching,” Lance told Kit.

“And I love that she has this accent now… I love the accent,” Lance said, referring to Melanie recently dropping the American accent she’d been using to help people understand her and speaking naturally with her British Virgin Islands inflection.

“I love that she wanted to hide it because she didn’t think America would go for it,” Lance added.

“The X Factor” airs on FOX on Wednesday night at 8 PM ET/PT.
