Lance Bass Talks *NSYNC Reunion Rumors: ‘That Would Be Amazing’

After an Instagram photo showing Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass at a Justin Timberlake concert made the rounds earlier this week, the Internet was abuzz with rumors of a *NSYNC reunion at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Lance addressed the rumors on his Sirius XM radio show, “Dirty Pop,” on Tuesday, but managed to avoid neither confirming nor denying the reports.

“We all came down here [to Miami], except for J.C. [Chasez]. J.C. stayed in California, he had to work … Joey, Chris and myself went to go see Justin’s last show with Jay Z at the [Sun Life] Stadium last Friday, and I even took a picture of it, it’s on my Instagram …” Lance said. “I think that’s what started the rumor that there’s going to be this big reunion with *NSYNC.”

The 2013 VMAs will be held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday and Justin is set to receive the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award at the show.

“So of course people are automatically going to think we’re going to be there performing,” Lance explained. “But this is exactly how it happened, and I knew these rumors were going to fly.”

Whether the boy band reunites on stage or not, Lance said he was grateful for the very vocal fan interest.

“It’s amazing to see the reaction out there on Twitter and social media [and] how many people are supporting *NSYNC,” he said. “It’s so nice to see because when we ended things 10 years ago, there was no social media, there was no Twitter, but it’s so cute to see how many people are supporting, and *NSYNC was even trending.”

When “Real Housewives of Miami” star Lea Black (who was a guest on Lance’s show on Tuesday) suggested fans should “start demanding a reunion,” Lance replied, “That would be an amazing time.”
