Lauren Conrad: I’m ‘Very Happy With My Decision’ To Leave ‘The Hills’

Lauren Conrad is no longer mixing it up with Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner and Heidi and Spencer Pratt on MTV’s “The Hills,” and despite the emotions that come with saying goodbye to the show that made her a star, she’s happy with the road ahead.

“Last night was my last episode of “The Hills.” It was a bittersweet night for me. A part of me is sad to say goodbye to something that has been such a prominent part of my life, but I know that it was time and I am very happy with my decision,” she wrote on her MySpace blog.

Lauren also took a moment to offer her gratitude to her fans.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has watched and supported me over the years,” she continued. “While putting my personal relationships and struggles on television wasn’t always easy, the support I received from people made such a difference. Because of all of you, I was able to accomplish so many aspirations and for that I am very grateful. So, THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!”

In addition to writing a series of young adults novels and working on a new fashion line, the reality starlet hinted that she has even more exciting plans in her future.

“I have some interesting projects in the works and I will keep you all updated,” she wrote.

And though she won’t be sparring with Spencer or hugging it out with Heidi anymore, LC said the upcoming sixth season with her former “Laguna Beach” co-star Kristin Cavallari will be filled with the drama that fans love.

“From what I’ve heard the next season will not disappoint,” she added.
