The alleged Al Gore affair story is “An Inconvenient Untruth,” according to producer Laurie David, who was linked to the former Vice President by a tabloid.
“The story is completely untrue,” Laurie — who was previously married to “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator Larry David — told the Huffington Post on Tuesday, following a report by tabloid Star Magazine, which claimed she had an affair with Al Gore.
“It’s a total fabrication. I adore both Al and Tipper. I look at them both as family,” Laurie, who was a producer on Gore’s documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth,” continued. “And I have happily been in a serious relationship since my divorce.”
Laurie and Larry David split in 2007.
On Tuesday, a Gore family spokesperson told Access, “On the record, we’re simply not dignifying this with a comment.”
Earlier this month, Al and Tipper announced they were separating after 40 years of marriage.
