Lawyer: Hailey Glassman ‘Is Being Framed’

A rep for Hailey Glassman has hit back at suggestions that she had anything to do with the vandalism incident at the New York City apartment she once shared with ex-boyfriend Jon Gosselin.

“My client is being framed,” Anand Ahuja, a lawyer for Glassman told Access Hollywood on Monday.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Gosselin’s lawyer said the reality star returned to his Upper East Side pad after spending Christmas with his “Plus 8” bunch in Pennsylvania and found his apartment ransacked. In addition to finding items missing, the star’s clothes and other personal items were “slashed with a butcher knife by a very troubled and sick perpetrator,” lawyer Mark Jay Heller previously said in statement to Access.

According to reports, a note was found, signed with Glassman’s name, and stabbed into a dresser with a butcher knife.

On Sunday, TMZ reported that cops questioned Glassman, who broke up with Gosselin in the fall and who recently moved out of the pad. And on Monday, a police source reportedly told the NY Post that Glassman said she wrote the note, but did not leave it stabbed into a dresser. Additionally, Glassman’s lawyer characterized the incident to the paper as a “huge, huge publicity stunt.”

But Heller, who has not returned a call from Access, told Radar Online in a story published on Monday, “Hailey Glassman is going to jail. It’s a simple as that.”

“The building security tape will not lie and the evidence will speak for itself,” Heller also told the publication, saying that a plasma television was taken and Gosselin’s favorite Louis Vuitton shoes were shredded.

But Glassman’s lawyer told Us Weekly, “she didn’t take anything from that apartment that she was not entitled to take with her.”

In related news, Glassman hit her Twitter account on December 25, where she claimed Gosselin wasn’t paying the rent properly on the pad they shared until she recently moved out.

“He’s been living off of my family and I,” she wrote, adding, “My family and I found out a week ago he’s been pocketing our rent money n not paying the rent!”
