Lenny Kravitz Lands Cinna Role In ‘The Hunger Games’

Katniss Everdeen finally has her stylist!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor/musician Lenny Kravitz has been cast as games stylist Cinna, who helps create Katniss’ signature look for the deadly battle, in “The Hunger Games.”

“When I saw Lenny’s work in ‘Precious,’ I was just knocked out,” director Gary Ross said in a statement. “It was quiet and strong and understated and open-hearted: all qualities which define this character.”

In addition to “Precious,” Lenny has appeared on the big screen in “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly” and “Zoolander.”

He is slated to drop his ninth studio album, “Black and White America,” on August 30.

Last week, Jennifer Lawrence told Access Hollywood that her training for the upcoming movie is starting to make her feel like another big screen action star.

“I love archery! I really love it,” the actress told Access. “And I’m starting to do stunts with the bow and arrow, so I kind of feel like Hugh Jackman. And then I’m doing rock climbing [and] tree climbing.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Lenny joins many veteran Hollywood stars in the film, including Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.

“The Hunger Games” is set to begin filming in North Carolina, and the film will hit theaters on March 23, 2012.
