Lindsay Lohan Backs Out Of Barbara Walters Interview

Well, that was quick.

Just three weeks after it was announced Lindsay Lohan would sit down with Barbara Walters for a one-hour no-holds-barred interview, the actress has backed out.

According to Deadline, the “Liz & Dick” star’s new PR reps, Rogers & Cowan, have pulled their client out of the interview. (Steve Honig, Lindsay’s publicist of nearly two years, quit late last month).

The new publicists were “dissatisfied with the direction” ABC wanted to take the interview, according to the website.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Lindsay was set to sit down with iconic journalist for an extensive, “no holds barred, no questions off-limits” interview.

Barbara spent half a day with Lindsay on the set of “Liz & Dick” this summer, where the actress gave Barbara a tour of the set, while ABC filmed behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with Grant Bowler (playing Richard Burton), producer Larry Thompson and the movie’s director.

Footage from Barbara’s visit to the Lifetime movie’s set was slated to air as part of the now-canceled interview.
