Lindsay Lohan ‘Excited To Be Back On Set’ For ‘Machete’

Lindsay Lohan is heading back to the big screen.

LiLo will star in Robert Rodriguez’s “Machete,” she wrote on her Twitter page on Friday.

“Something was made official today!” she Tweeted before linking to the film’s IMDB page.

Lindsay last starred in “Labor Pains,” which premiered on ABC Family in July after failing to secure a theatrical run.

And on her Twitter account, the actress wrote that she was “excited to be back on set again.”

The star was also spotted this week sporting a new platinum blonde ‘do that was done for the film.

“I was so upset to hurt my red natural hair that I finally got back,” she Tweeted. “But this movie is worth the dye job.”

The film is an expansion of the fake film trailer for the movie of the same name that was part of the director’s “Grindhouse.”

Robert previously told MTV News that he was hoping to get LiLo aboard the film.

“There’s actually a cool part in the movie for her – if she takes it,” he said.
