Lindsay Lohan To Host ‘Saturday Night Live’

Lindsay Lohan has landed a new gig.

The actress is set to host “Saturday Night Live” on March 3, along with musical guest Jack White.

The 25-year-old announced the news on Twitter, by changing her profile picture to a screengrab of the “SNL” graphic showing her name along with White’s and the date of the upcoming show.

“SNL! I love NBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!” she Tweeted on Saturday night.

Lindsay’s mother Dina congratulated her daughter on the booking.

“Lindsay Lohan is coming back to Saturday Night Live yay!!!” Dina Tweeted.

Lindsay thanked her mom for the support, Tweeting, “I love you so much mommy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so happy you’re here with me #1mom.com.”

Returning to host the late night sketch show was Lindsay’s idea, according to TMZ.

Sources close to the former “Mean Girls” star reportedly told the site Lindsay reached out to executive producer Lorne Michaels about returning to host, as she has “always felt” he’s been “very fatherly towards her.”

The sources reportedly added Lindsay feels hosting the show again “will remind people she’s an actress,” and draw attention away from her ongoing legal troubles.

The March 3 gig will mark Lindsay’s first time back on “SNL” since hosting the show in 2006.
