Lively, Portman, Hathaway Among Finalists For Latest Batman Leading Lady?

Bruce Wayne is about to get a new leading lady… or two – the only question is: who will it be?

Reports have been swirling over which Hollywood beauty (or beauties) would join Christopher Nolan’s upcoming Batman installment, “The Dark Knight Rises,” with a slew of names being bandied about.

In fact, Nolan is indeed reportedly looking for two actresses to join the franchise – one as Batman/Bruce Wayne’s ladylove and one as a potential villain.

According to Deadline, the short list is now down to six – Keira Knightley, Blake Lively, Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway.

As previously reported by Deadline, “Inception” star Tom Hardy will also join the project, and while details of his role remain under wraps, it’s rumored he will step in as the caped crusader’s new evil foe.

“The Dark Knight Rises,” with Christian Bale reprising his role as the title character, will hit theaters on July 20, 2012.
