Liza Minnelli Enters Rehab For Substance Abuse

Liza Minnelli has entered a rehabilitation program, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

“Liza Minnelli has valiantly battled substance abuse over the years and whenever she has needed to seek treatment she has done so. She is currently making excellent progress at an undisclosed facility,” her spokesperson, Scott Gorenstein, told Access in a statement on Wednesday.

There were no further details on what Liza, 69, was being treated for.

The Tony, Emmy, Oscar and Grammy-winning star underwent back surgery in September 2014.

Liza’s mother, Judy Garland, died from a sleeping pill overdose in 1969.
