‘Love Guru’ Leads Razzie Nominees

Mike Myers’ “The Love Guru” may not have won audiences’ hearts at the box office, but there’s one place it’s been embraced – the Razzies. “Guru” has seven nominations at the annual awards ceremony, which honors the year’s worst films.

The film is up for Worst Picture, as well as worst acting nominations across the board for the cast, including Mike, Jessica Alba, Verne Troyer and Ben Kingsley.

Also up for Worst Picture are spoofs “Disaster Movie” and “Meet The Spartans”; M. Night Shymalan’s horror movie about trees, “The Happening”; Paris Hilton vehicle “The Hottie and the Nottie”; and the Jason Statham fantasy flick “In The Name of the King: A Dungeon Seige Tale.”

Paris picked up three nominations for her acting work – she’s up for Worst Supporting Actress for “Repo: The Genetic Opera” and Worst Screen Couple, as well as Worst Actress for “Hottie.”

Paris is in good company in the Worst Actress category – she’s nominated alongside the entire cast of “The Women,” Cameron Diaz (“What Happens In Vegas”) and Kate Hudson (“Fool’s Gold” and “My Best Friend’s Girl”).

In the Worst Actor category, Mike is joined by Al Pacino (a dual nominee for “88 Minutes” and “Righteous Kill”), Mark Wahlberg (another dual nominee for “The Happening” and “Max Payne”), Larry the Cable Guy and Razzie vet Eddie Murphy.

The Razzies will be announced on February 21, the day before the Academy Awards.
