Lupita Nyong’o ‘Proud’ Of Brother’s Epic Oscars Photobomb

When Oscars host Ellen orchestrated the now-famous star-studded selfie during Sunday’s show (the most reTweeted post ever!), Lupita’s brother, Peter Nyong’o, seized the opportunity for photo stardom and the Oscar-winning actress couldn’t be more proud.

“This here is my opportunistic brother,” the “12 Years A Slave” star told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson after the Oscars at the Governors Ball.

“I saw the opportunity, and I was like, ‘I’m not passing up on this, this is a selfie with Ellen DeGeneres… and everyone else!’” Peter explained.

“And everyone else,” Lupita added in.

Jokes aside, the actress was glad her brother jumped in the shot.

“[Ellen] didn’t say who could get in the selfie, and yes, I’m proud of him for taking the moment…he’s made history!” Lupita said.

And how is Peter feeling about his sister following her big win for Best Supporting Actress?

“I mean even before everything she’s always been a star, so like this is just extra bonus points,” Peter beamed.

As of Monday morning, Ellen’s selfie has been reTweeted 2.7 million times!
