Lynda Carter Joins ‘Supergirl’: Find Out Who She’s Playing!

Lynda Carter has joined the cast of The CW’s
“Supergirl.”

The actress, who famously played Wonder Woman/Diana Prince
in TV’s “Wonder Woman” (which ran from 1975-1979), is playing the
President of the United States on the show – the exact role producers wanted
her for.

Back in March, producers of
“Supergirl” first revealed they were trying to get Lynda on
Season 1.

“We had the perfect role for Lynda Carter and we couldn’t
work out her schedule,” “Supergirl” Executive Producer Greg Berlanti told
journalists at the March screening, adding they wanted her to play “the
female
President of the United States.”

Fellow EP Andrew Kreisberg said they would get Lynda on the
following season, and it turns out he was right.

Lynda’s first appearance in “Supergirl” will be in
the third episode of Season 2.

Just last week, “Supergirl” announced another big
casting – “Teen Wolf’s” Tyler Hoechlin will play Superman/Clark Kent.

“Supergirl” Season 2 premieres Monday, October 10
at 8 PM ET/PT on The CW.
