Maddox Jolie-Pitt Gets Schooled In New York

A school in Manhattan welcomed a brand new student on Tuesday, and his name is Maddox Jolie-Pitt!

Angelina Jolie, with her six-year old’s backpack over her shoulder, took little Maddox to the Lycée Francais de New York on the Upper East Side.

The Lycée Francais is a private institution where lessons are taught in French to students from early childhood through high school.

The school’s mission is to “prepare its students to be responsible citizens equipped for the world of tomorrow,” according to its Web site, teaching students self-respect through “strict rules of conduct in a community spirit and with an acceptance of diversity.”

The Jolie-Pitt clan are frequent travelers due to Brad and Angelina’s film commitments and humanitarian efforts, but could Maddox’s enrollment indicate that they’re settling down in New York?

The family spent a weekend in New York at the end of August, having fun in Central Park and grabbing hot dogs in Times Square.

And papa Pitt took Maddox to a Yankees game on Tuesday night — perhaps to reward a job well done on his first day at school!

But with Brad reportedly shooting scenes for the Coen Brothers’ “Burn After Reading” in New York shortly, the Big Apple may just be a temporary stop.

In May , Maddox spent time at the Lycée Francais in Prague, where Angelina was shooting scenes for “Wanted.”
