Madonna To Back Hillary Clinton?

(December 11, 2007) – Just one day after Oprah hit the
campaign trail and drew record crowds for Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton may have
found her own superstar backer.

Reports have begun surfacing that Madonna has endorsed Hillary in her
presidential run.

When contacted by Access Hollywood however, Madonna’s rep said that
while the singing superstar appreciates Hillary, she hasn’t “formally” backed
Clinton.

“Madonna has not formally endorsed Hillary Clinton. She’s certainly spoken
highly of her, but that’s it,” the rep told Access.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Hillary already has
one superstar on her campaign trail — Barbra Streisand.

“Hillary is a powerful voice for change as we find our country at an
important crossroads,” Barbra said in a statment released by the Clinton
campaign. “Under her leadership, our country will regain its respect within the
global community. She will prioritize issues of global climate change, universal
health care and rebuilding a strong economy. After eight long years, the public
will once again have faith in their government.”
