Maggie Gyllenhaal is expecting her second child with husband Peter Sarsgaard, a rep for the actress confirmed to Access Hollywood on Monday.
The “Nanny McPhee Returns” actress, who recently hosted the episode of “Curiosity: Why Is Sex Fun?” on Discovery, gave birth to her first child – daughter Ramona – in fall 2006.
When the couple’s new addition comes along it’s likely Maggie and Peter will try and split their parenting duties, like they’ve done with Ramona.
“We try,” Maggie previously told Babble.com. “I think we both just fundamentally, from the moment I was pregnant, from the moment she was born, believed that we needed to share. And we do.
“I was raised that way too, where my parents were trying to split things equally. It’s a good effort to make. But it’s hard,” she added.
Maggie and Peter married in May 2009.
