Maisie Williams: Prepare ‘Yourselves Now’ For ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7

“Game of Thrones” Season 7 won’t return to HBO
until summer 2017, but Maisie Williams is suggesting fans start to prepare for
it immediately.

The actress, who plays Arya Stark on the HBO drama, shared
her advice on Twitter on Monday.

“just
finished reading season 7,” she Tweeted.

“sh** gets REAL,” she continued.

“i’d start preparing yourselves now,” she added.

“scratch that, nothing will prepare you for this,” she wrote.

Production on Season 7 of the show was delayed this year to allow the weather to change (and the landscape to reflect a different season).

“Now that winter has arrived on ‘Game of Thrones,’ executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss felt that the storylines of the next season would be better served by starting production a little later than usual, when the weather is changing,” HBO programming president Casey Bloys said in a statement back in July.

Maisie’s character, Arya, crossed another name off her list in the Season 6 finale when she killed Walder Frey. While what happens next for her character remains to be seen, plenty of fans would like to see Arya reunite with Sandor Clegane/The Hound, who returned during Season 6.

HBO’s “Thrones” is currently up for 23 nominations at this year’s Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series. Maisie is up for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama series, as are Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen). Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) are up for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama series.

Due to the show’s delayed filming schedule and plans to premiere in the summer, “Thrones” won’t be eligible for nominations at the 2017 Emmys, the HBO boss confirmed earlier this summer at the cable network’s portion of the Television Critics Association Summer Tour.

The 2016 Emmys will air on September 18 at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel is the host.
