Angelina Jolie is soaring in the new clip from “Maleficent” – literally!
New details about the origins of her beloved (and feared!) character are revealed when she is asked why she doesn’t have the power of flight like the other fairies.
“I had wings once, they were strong,” she says, as footage of a winged Maleficent soaring through the sky plays.

The latest details from the highly anticipated movie – though brief – appear to set the stage for a deeper look into one of Disney’s most intriguing villains.
“Maleficent” debuts in theaters on May 30, 2014.
