“This is such a bitter-sweet acknowledgement for ‘Farrah’s Story,’ because Farrah’s not here to share it with us, but I know how honored she would have been to receive this nomination. When Farrah decided to share her battle with cancer with the world it was with the hope that she could show others struggling with the disease and their loved ones that they were not alone. I can imagine how enormously proud she is right now that the Academy has acknowledged her story in this way.”
–Alana Stewart, producer, nominated for Outstanding Nonfiction Special, “Farrah’s Story”

***

“As ‘Brothers & Sisters’ enters its 4th season, it still is and always will be a great honor to be nominated. The only hard part is finding a dress…and a date.”
–Sally Field, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, “Brothers & Sisters”

***

***

“It is an honor to be recognized by my peers and be a part of ‘30 Rock’s’ 22 nominations. I want to thank everyone from Tina to Lorne to everyone in craft services.”

–Tracy Morgan, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, “30 Rock”

***

“I know this industry isn’t supposed to be about awards, but screw you and the horse you rode in on…  Seriously, I am truly honored that the Academy has recognized my special and ‘My Life On The D-List,’ specifically the episode where I was privileged enough to visit and perform at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Shout out to my one legged GIs.”

–Kathy Griffin, nominated for Outstanding Variety, Musical or Comedy Special, “Kathy Griffin: She’ll Cut A Bitch” and Outstanding Reality Program, “Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List”

***

“I’m honoured to be nominated amongst such a group of actors and so proud for everyone involved with this first series of ‘Wallander.”  It was a huge team effort to produce ambitious television – existential angst and mystery in rural Sweden is not an easy pitch – but the public around the world has responded wonderfully, and I’m thrilled by the Academy’s recognition.”

–Kenneth Branagh, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie, “Wallander: One Step Behind”

***

–Mary-Louise Parker, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, “Weeds”

“This year’s nomination means more to me than ever before. I’m incredibly happy and honored. Certainly it’s bittersweet- we no longer get to do the show that we love so much, but that doesn’t take away from the excitement and honor of this nomination. This is a wonderful recognition of what we created together every week.”

“Unfortunately, Farrah is not here to appreciate the result of her bravery and creativity. But fortunately her 92-years-young father is here to bask in the glow of his daughter’s honor. When I shared the good news with him this morning, he demonstrated his usual dry wit and asked: ‘Is there any way for me to take credit for this?’  I told him he could take all the credit. Because he gave the world Farrah. He and Mrs. Fawcett were delighted.’”

--Craig J. Nevius, producer, nominated for Outstanding Nonfiction Special, “Farrah’s Story”

”’Weeds’ has provided me the opportunity to work with some of the most talented actors and writers I’ve ever met and it’s really an honor to be nominated for playing such a malicious, contemptable, totally outrageous, emotionally bankrupt character. I’m having a ball.”

--Elizabeth Perkins, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, “Weeds”

***

”‘Dexter’ is such a well-crafted and exceptionally well-done show , They challenged me as an actor & it was an honor to work with that wonderfully creative team in front & behind the camera. Michael C Hall has created an iconic character that the audience roots for. His many Emmy noms are testament to his extraordinary work as an actor. I thank him for being a most generous acting partner. We helped each other take ‘leaps’ last season. THAT is what it really is all about for me in the end as an actor… that creative collaboration. I feel very blessed to have been part of ‘Dexter’ season #3 and this acknowledgement from my peers humbles me and excites me all at the same time.”

--Jimmy Smits, nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series, “Dexter”

***

“We are all thrilled and honored to receive any kind of recognition and this, of course, is beyond our wildest expectations. There are a lot of motivations that keep us writing late into the night. One of them is our fear of Jack McBrayer’s violent outbursts. Another is the gratification that comes from being recognized by our peers.”

***

“I am so crazy happy, I don’t even know what to say. To be included with all these other nominees is beyond an honor.”

Finally, I would like to thank Tina Fey for allowing me to be the caboose on the freight train that is ‘30 Rock.’”

--Jon Hamm, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, “Mad Men,” and Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, “30 Rock”
